| Greetings all!
I found your post at the main forums and decided to hop over and say hello. After reading all 70+ pages (even though you had me by the first) I decided this was the place for me!
Like many I have played most MMO's including SWG and WoW, even the original EQ (yes I'm that old). I was always the helpfull player who would help new people or anyone asking for help...untill I caught the WoW raiding bug. I raided for two years and realized I had become one of those rude l33t players I used to hate so much.
One day, after a bad raid filled with the usual yelling and insults by everyone including myself, a guildie said it didn't seem like I enjoyed the game anymore and asked why I still played...I realy couldn't answer...I decided to take a break, that was about two years ago and I havent logged back in since.
My biggest hope for ToR is to get back to where I used to be as a gamer, make it about having fun with friends, helping others, and not take it so serious. I would love to help in building a community of how I was back in the old school games (and keep the WoW player from returning).
Hope to get to know you all better and can't wait to see you all in game!
P.S. I work as a baker IRL, I will do my best to keep the cookie supply full at all times |

I just logged in Grome and then logged straight out...even with Cataclysm coming...I just don't know why I play any more...I will be handing over my Guild to my deputy and then be signing off from WoW I believe...a sad day considering the joy and wonder I had when I first logged in and created my first character...who still survives. How quickly that is replaced by cynicism and the pursuit of gear and achievements... |

How quickly that is replaced by cynicism and the pursuit of gear and achievements... Yes, the joy and excitement got with the time replaced by a feeling of pressure and obligation. At one point, when I realised I'd rather be comfortably cooking my dinner right then than logging on to raid, I knew it was over. _________________

| Welcome to the forums! Glad to have you here! Always love seeing some gamers that played the original EQ. I unfortunately just missed the wagon...I jumped on board when EQ2 and WoW and stuff was coming out...by then I kind of missed all the mysticism and newness of the MMO genre by then. - Tal Soren wrote:

BOOoooo on guild drama. Thankfully I made some great friends in WoW and my guild's drama was at an all time minimum. I think there will be great possibilities here with RIG and guild drama will find it's way to be minimal or even obsolete if people can all be compromising and understanding : P |
