Born on the Planet Begeren Ty-Odi was the son of the town harlot, his mother made her living on her back, and his father could have been any of 100 different men. He was taken from her at the age of 5 when during a fight with a neighbours child at school Ty-Odi had flung the other child halfway across the school yard, it had not been the 1st time he had shown signs of abnormal strength or odd behaviour and it did not take long for the Inquisitoriam to take an interest in him. They came for him that very evening, and when they came, even the recruiter was taken aback by the coldness of the child; his mother showed no sign of upset as he was taken away, she never even looked up from the holo-recording she was watching, the boy showed no sign of upset either, he merely went to his room and grabbed some clothes; he never even looked back as he was taken from the house.

It was when he arrived at the Academy that they uncovered the marks on his skin, his mother smoked a form of weed which burnt white hot and left the user in a state of utter oblivion, she had clearly used her son as some kind of human Ashtray, there were burn marks all over his body, there were also bruises that showed up all over his chest and lower abdomen, in fact any area not easily seen under clothing showed signs of either recent bruising or diminishing ones, his mother had clearly put this young child through horrifying physical abuse his entire life, scans showed numerous broken bones which had been left to mend themselves naturally over the years rather than by seeking treatment, but it was in the physiological examinations that the true extent of the damage showed, though his mind was extremely quick and alert, the boy seemed utterly incapable of emotion or feeling, it was as if he was shut off from the outside world, he rarely spoke unless spoken too first, he showed no interest in interacting with the other apprentices, he was a loner, and though in the otherwise pack environment of the Academy he could have looked forward to being singled out and bullied, it was those cold, dark, menacing, ice blue eyes, that ensured all the others in the Academy group avoided him.

The Physician at the Academy no stranger to pain and suffering himself was appalled at the state of the child when he had arrived,, many children from Sith Worlds were brought up in rough house holds, but none he had ever seen had been treated as badly as this young child, when the physician had checked Ty-Odi’s records he saw this child had been earmarked for training as an Inquisitor, the Physician a former Inquisitor himself before he had lost the use of his legs, had seen many a tough child come through these halls, but none like this boy, this child, he was so cold, so calculating, when his arm had been re-broken to set it correctly he had not even flinched, despite no pain suppressors being used he showed no signs what so ever of discomfort or pain, he had clearly learned to shut his mind off from pain at an early age, and his control of such feelings were incredible in one so young, hardship fostered strength, suffering harboured mental toughness, and this child had both in spade full’s. This child had been born to be an Inquisitor, his young life had been full of pain, and suffering, it would give him the fortitude and tolerance to deal with the pain and suffering that was simply part of the course for any aspiring young Inquisitor, the training would be brutal, demoralising, often cruel, but if one child was going to make it, the physician had been certain he was looking at one.

Ty-Odi’s Initial training was carried out on Begeren, but at the age of 11, and having been taken on as an apprentice just the year before he was to be moved off Planet onto a Sith transport for the Journey to Dromund Kaas. It was here he had his 1st real taste of combat, he had a natural fluid Saber style, a born Berserker who lost himself in battle, utterly giving himself over to the moment, letting the force and his instincts guide his feet and his Saber movements, his Master was Chief Inquisitor Orlyn Diaze, a man of unbelievable strength and power and yet as a man who had lost his own son, he had taken the inhumanly cold child Ty-Odi as his apprentice, whether it had been the similarities in looks between Ty-Odi and Orlyn’s son or whether it was that last remnant within Orlyn’s heart that saw the pain and suffering buried deep behind those ice blue eyes was uncertain, but Orlyn had learnt early on, that carrot worked far better than stick with Ty-Odi, the boy seemed impervious to beatings or mental torture, yet to be allowed to train with a Saber, was one of the few things that bought the boy pleasure, most Inquisitors carried their Saber almost as a relic to their Sith heritage, preferring to use the various force powers at their disposal instead of actual hand to hand combat with the blade, Ty-Odi though, he was different, he was one of the few of his creed who simply flourished with a blade in their hands, they came alive whilst using it, and on this day, those skills would be put to the test and shine.

A smuggler raiding party had caught them unaware, and the barely defended Transport was no match for them, the boarding party had no Intel on Orlyn and Ty-Odi being onboard. Orlyn ushered the boy out of the way, and stood alone awaiting the smugglers, not a hint of fear in him. Twenty of them came aboard and surrounded Orlyn, their leader clearly recognised him, and though Orlyn was kind enough to Ty-Odi, it was clearly not a courteously he showed his enemies, and the leader of this group had either witnessed his Masters wrath first hand or had briefed with very accurate accounts second hand, there would be no sparing of his masters life, someone this dangerous as Orlyn would be killed on sight, deemed too dangerous to be left alive, and so it proved, as quickly the order was given, and their guns blazed to life, Orlyn moved at speeds often too quick for the human eye, it was only through the force that Ty-Odi could follow his movements and those of the smugglers in the room, Ty-Odi watched the fight unfold in his mind, but it soon became apparent his Master was tiring, his movements were slowing, and the blaster bolts getting ever closer to finding their mark, six of the original boarding party already lay dead, but even his Master, as powerful as he was, was no match for the other fourteen alone, not for much longer at any rate, it was at this point his body seemed to move under its own predisposition, his training Saber hummed to live as he moved swiftly and silently behind three of the Smugglers who had taken cover, in one motion he removed two of the smugglers heads before his final movement came to an end with his Saber having sliced right through the thirds spinal column and vital organs, the man screamed as he crumbled to the floor, two others upon hearing the screams had turned to face him but it too was too late, his movements had already carried him forward and into them, taking their lives with him as he made his way to his Masters side, the berserker in him was in full flow as he and his Master back to back fought as one.

The fight was soon over. His Master looked down at this small boy, who despite the danger, despite his own instruction to stay out of the way, had come to his aide, had put his own life on the line, and yet despite this, not a trickle of emotion permeated from the child, no remorse, no guilt, not even blood rage. He had dispatched seven of the twenty men who had boarded the vessel, and despite this, no emotion showed in the boy. And it broke Orlyn’s heart. To train an Inquisitor to even train to be one, was a life of unbelievable hardship, many never made it, trainees died in their hundreds every year, four had died at the hands of Orlyn himself, his apprentices too full of pride and arrogance had taken the challenge to him too soon, they had over estimated their own ability, but it would not happen with this boy, as he looked into those cold eyes, he saw it, and in an instant he knew it, he was looking into the eyes of death, his own death, Ty-Odi would be his last shadow, not yet perhaps, but not too far off, in a few years the challenge would come, it had too, it was the way of the Sith, either Ty-Odi would challenge him, or he would be forced to challenge Ty-Odi in order to take on a new apprentice. And though Orlyn’s strength in the force was far greater than this cold eyed young boy, and likely always would be, there was something else within him, that cold almost clinical mind, the lack of emotion which brought such clarity in combat, that utter disregard for pain.

Despite all this, Orlyn strangely felt no fear, he knew the boy would be his death, he had never been so certain of anything in his life, but he would train this boy, not only to be hard, not only to be able to endure, they were qualities he already possessed, but he would also try to teach this child about humanity, to feel, to understand emotion, in public he would be treated like any other apprentice, in private, he would be treated differently, he would be shown humanity. This boy would grow into a man, not a cold hearted bringer of death; he would be the son he had lost.

Dromtund Kaas was tough, tougher than anything Ty-Odi could have possibly imagined, even though Orlyn took him away from it as often as he was able, there was still no hiding from the regime, as he grew older the training only ever intensified, became more demoralising, more punishing, even this boy with his incredible tolerance to pain had been pushed above, and beyond his threashold, three of his class mates had already succommed to the trials, two dead, one so badly broken he would likely spend the rest of his life in an institution.

Day and night, they would be called upon, dragged out for exercise after exercise, deprived continuously of sleep, or simply pulled from their beds and interogated for hour upon hour over some supposed crime by a fellow student, some real most made up, all to see their limits of their mental strength, their ability to withstand both drug truth enducers as well as force powers all designed to break them and extract any and all information, any who broke were beaten mercilessly, with no interogation ending until they did, or they merely offered something made up simply to end the torture, they were of course all mercilessly beaten. Years went by, the same routine, the same punishment being dished out, even more dropped out every year, by the time he was 15, there were only 13 of the original 100 left.

Orlyn had taken Ty-Odi away from the Academy on as many occasions as he was allowed, he had taught this boy about life, had shown him a kindness he had never before known, he had become the father Ty-Odi had never had, Orlyn taught Ty-Odi about life, about feelings, what it was to be human, though Orlyn never saw the evidence of his work, despite his mind opening to feeling and emotions so deeply surpressed within him, he was never able to show them, it was as if his inner self was deeply buried within him that it refused to come to the surface.

One of the girls in his group, a Twi'lek girl named Zelitha had always held a soft spot for Ty-Odi, and he her, but despite her being there in his dreams during those brief moments were he was able to sleep, and despite her being on his mind all the time, he was never able to express to her how he felt, he in fact rarely even spoke to her. She had seen his silence and reluctance to be around her as a sign of a lack of interest, and were she had once been falling for him, she now had grown to resent him, in fact nearly hating him for what she had deemed as rejection. Nothing could have been further from the truth, and every time she went by, where there had once been a carefully concealed conspirital smile, now there was only a coldness and lack of warmth all too familiar to him, it tore him apart far greater than any torture his instructors could muster.

He watched her from afar for the next couple of years, watched her grow ever more distant, and finally he watched her fall into another mans arms, never daring to speak to her about how he felt, always unable to show it, to hold her, to open the very depths of his soul to her. Oh how he wanted too, he had wanted to open that part of him to her, in his mind he imagined doing it a thousand times, yet never was he able, and by then it was too late.

As they grew into adult hood, they were given more time away from the Academy, often Ty-Odi would go away with Orlyn, and Orlyn would notice that even this cold and emotionally ruined child was even more dark and broody then before, he had gone back to that silent child he had once hoped to see the back off, long had he hoped this child would understand emotion, to known kindness, to be able to show it, but despite Orlyn's best efforts he could never see any improvement in the boy, boy....he was nearly a man now, in height and stature he already was, his strength and understading in the force had grown as well, he was becoming a powerful and promising Inquisitor, the Academy had been tough on him, it was on all of his creed, but as Orlyn had long since predicted this boy had endured, and done so better than most, his instructors were pleased with him, and saw him as a threat, this was good, it meant he would go on to achieve something, not spend the rest of his days trying to break other youngsters in the Academy like those drop outs, he would be useful to the Sith, there was pride in Orlyns heart in seeing his young Apprentice achieve so much, but he was still not a man, not yet, he had so much still to learn, so much that he needed to understand before he could truly fulfil his true potential and in this Orlyn had always believed he had failed the boy. He was still as cold as ever, no flicker of emotion, nothing. It was as if he was a machine, worse in fact, Orlyn had known droids with more emotion than Ty-Odi. He had tried so many times to reach out to the boy, and when he did there was the tiniest flicker in his eyes, which suggested he wanted to say something to him, to ask him something, but as always the boy shut himself off just as quickly.

Zelitha's Master had long been a close ally and as close to a friend as a Sith dared to have to Orlyn, and to Ty-Odi's surprise they had been invited to stay at Orlyn's home, and as expected she had treated Ty-Odi as if he had not existed, she rarely spoke to him, barely more than a good morning, or to make small talk on the weather. She had awoken one morning and taken to eating her breakfast out on the decking, he had seen her through his bedroom window, so beautiful, so perfect, how he longed for her, how he wished to be sat across from her, to tell her how he felt, but all the while knowing he would never be able too, nor would she now even care.

Zelitha's Master and Orlyn had organised a trip to Dathomir, a hunting expedition, Ty-Odi and Orlyn had been here often, it was Orlyns favourite hunting ground, and had soon become Ty-Odi's as well, it was a dark, and extremely hostile planet, with near everything that moved wishing to eat you alive, it was the truest possible test of their skill, armed with no more than themselves and their Sabers, they would be expected to survive for an entire month, even by Orlyn's standards this was a long trip, and it made it even more dangerous because of it, it was now not only a test of skill, but also a test of endurance.

They had been gone a little over three weeks when Orlyn and his fellow chief Inquisitor had left them in the middle of the night to fend for themselves taking any and all provisions they had previously acquired for themselves, they would remain close just in case, but not close enough so they would know it, this was an initiation test the two of them had done for with all their apprentices, and now the game would begin. Now they would find out how long the two of them could survive before either needing help, or finding sanctuary. None had managed the latter, but it was not important if they did or not, that was not the test, the test was teamwork, and iniative, to see how they could cope under the worst possible type of situation, and to later learn from any and all of the mistakes they would be sure to make.

Zelitha awoke to sound of the loud unmistakeable roar of a Rancor.....within mere moment she was awake and on her feet, trying to locate the source of the sound, neither of the masters were anywhere to be seen, neither was Ty-Odi, in fact, nothing was here? She rumaged through her sleeping sack, not even her Saber was here?....What had happened?..Had they just abandoned her?

When she woke fully, she reached out with the force, she soon found the source from where the Rancors roar came, and with it the unmistakable aura of Ty-Odi, that Ice blue aura in the force, no colours flowed through his aura, no anger, no hatred, no fear or joy, some Siths aura's were truly beautfiful to look at, with their auras showing all manner of their masters emotions, swirling reds, pinks, blues, and purples, bright whites, and so on, but not Ty-Odi's his was almost perfectly white with only the faintest of those colours sometimes showing, but today, there was slightly more colour to his aura than she had ever seen before, there were definately hints of red and purple in his aura....fear....unmistakeable fear.

She rushed to him, she knew it was the Rancor that had caused that fear in him, and despite herself, despite her on the surface loathing of him, deep inside she still cared, she still liked him, and to see him showing fear, an emotion she had never before witnessed in him, well she had never seen any emotion in him in fact, yet here he was, frightened and alone, she ran to him then, as she drew closer she saw him....blood poured down his left arm, a deep gauge taken from his left shoulder, armed only with the force, he fought the beast, that infamous calm of his was fighting his fear, and his movements though hindered by his injuries were composed and calculated, he was slowly but surely defeating the vast beast, she could sense the Rancors life energy beginning to fail.

Then the unthinkable happened, on loose ground his foot slipped, he put his left arm down to steady himself, pain shook through him, and though he quickly overcame the pain, it was a split second too long, the Rancors right arm swung and caught Ty-Odi across his chest sending him sprawling, with speed which beggared belief the Rancor was upon him once more, Zelitha arrived just in time, and sent a furious bolt of force lightning into the back of the Rancors skull, it spun to meet the new threat ignoring for a moment the now unconcious form of Ty-Odi.

Zelitha moved with as much speed as she could muster, careful to keep a safe distance she deftly kitted the fast tiring Rancor, it had used its last death throws in its last attacks on Ty-Odi now it was slow and cumbersome, each movement was becoming a struggle, she threw one last torrent of force lightning at the creature and like a giant tree being felled it staggered on its feet before finally crashing to the dirt face first, and slowly let out its final breath. Zelitha moved to where Ty-Odi now lay unconcious, he was loosing a lot of blood, and his skin tone had gone that nearly translucent colour as the blood drained from it. Ripping the sleeve from her shirt she tried to create a bandage to stem the flow of blood, she had very basic 1st aid skills, but here and now, they would have to do, they had too....

Having stemed the blood as best she could, she managed to wake him, though he was delirious and was muttering all manner of incoherent nonesense she was at least able to now move him with her back to the camp, at least the fire should still be lit, and would offer a means for her to cautorise his wounds, slowly but surely they made their way back, it was only then she noticed the trail of blood which led all the way back to the camp, fearing someone else had returned to the camp injured, she urged Ty-Odi on.

They reached the camp, yet no one was their, the blood trail ended just beside their bedding, it was then she realised, the Rancor had come in to camp, and Ty-Odi had woken first, and led the beast away from her, he had risked his life to take the Rancor away from her, in order to save hers, and now here he was, barely concious, and having lost a lot of blood, he would need water, she removed a small flask of water from her cloak, and slowly fed it to him, he was still babbling some nonesense she could not decifer, his face was contorted and twisted his normal pure white aura was now as bright and colourful as any she had ever seen, pain, anger, hatred, love, sorrow, pity, were just a few of the conflicting emotions that flowed through him.

Zelitha laid him down, and did her best to clean his wounds, then using a small cutlery knife heated in the fire till it was red hot, she cortorised his wounds, the smell of burning flesh making her nautious yet at no point did Ty-Odi even flinch, he was too far gone. She fed him a bit more water then stoked up the fire some more, building it high and hot, in the hope of warding off any more preditors, either way she knew she would not get much sleep this night, he had kept her safe, now she would return the favour....
