Well we've all seen our share of side projects of bands these days. Blink 182 started a side project called Angels and Airwaves. Personally I think the side project is better than the original band itself. You can judge for yourself..

Ladies and gents once again it's your favorite Pirate Radio DJ Lewg!

Today I'd like to tip my hat to all the great bands that never really made it to the mainstream or if they did they got left behind like so much bad rubbish. Though many of these artists scoff at the idea of the mainstream music industry I'm certain they wouldn't argue that making a very comfortable living doing what they love wouldn't be such a bad thing.

My humble opinion is that the huge music production companies scoff at artist that actually want to sign contracts on their own terms with full artisic freedom. True artists settle for nothing less. Sadly this more often makes them anathema to mainstream music media.

But there are those out there that have a great love for these truly original artists yours truly in particular.

So let's hear some songs from a band that had a brief stint in the mainstream limelight only to be discarded by the people with no taste, that being the evil empire of major music production companies. These are a few songs from a band that got their name from a song by The Smiths.
