Hattori Hanzo I haven't had a chance to visit Japan yet, but my martial arts style was actually born in Okinawa, and I want to go there one day on a trip.

Yea man, BB is my favorite stuff out there, mostly because I love the music and...well Ben's voice is some odd combo of singing/yodel at times it's fascinating. I'm a sucker for strong singing though, which is why I also loved Queen and love Brent Smith's work with Shinedown.

By the by, when it comes to music there is no wrong answer. Music is like art, it is all subjective. Personally I like your posts. I'm always jazzed about any opportunity to expand my musical horizons. Without exposure to new perspectives I stagnate so keep it up! Music is universal!

Hello ladies and gents. Welcome to another installment of R.I.G. Pirate Radio hosted by yours truly DJ Lewg on the RP bandwith.

Today I'd like to talk about how to make the perfect compilation. Making a good compilation can be a very complicated process. One has to grab his or her listeners attention and be able to hold onto it. It's not as easy as one might think.

Let me paraphrase Rob Gordon, John Cusaks character on High-Fidelity (great effin movie):

The trick to making a great comipilation is to grab the listener's attention.

Then you gotta take it up a notch.

Then you wanna cool it back down a bit.

There are a lot of rules..

So on that note let's cool it down a bit and play a couple of my favorite mellow songs. The first is from the musical genius Jeff Buckley who sadly died before his time. The second is an old favorite of mine by Portishead.
